Muswellbrook ready for Bengalla Cup

Muswellbrook Race Club are looking forward to hosting their Bengalla Cup meeting on August 1.

Muswellbrook Race Club are preparing for their annual Bengalla Cup Race Day on August 1, with a good crowd and even better racing expected for one of the more popular meetings on the Hunter racing calendar.

The race day celebrates the relationship between the Muswellbrook Race Club and Bengalla Mining Company, who have been long term sponsors of the race club for more than 25 years.

The feature race on the day is the $34,000 Bengalla Cup over 1280m and after Nothing Too Hard won the event at 50/1 in 2020 for trainer Paul Perry and jockey Chris O’Brien, punters can expect another enthralling race.

The Bengalla Cup meeting is also a big family friendly race day, and there will be entertainment for the kids and fundraising and activities with the Muswellbrook Rams Junior Rugby League.

The Muswellbrook Race Club are still running race meetings under strict Covid-19 restrictions, which need to be observed by all that attend.

The club is required to record the details of all race goers upon entry for Covid-19 compliance with the mandatory Services NSW QR Code registration system.
